Next Generation Z Car, With A Factory Turbo? Yesss!

I love working for a Nissan Dealership!  Every single week i'm hearing news or seeing articles that kick my imagination into gear!  For starters Nissan has confirmed that the Nissan IDX Concept will go into production, and now I find a Article claiming that the Next Generation Z car will have a Factory Turbo!  Yesssss!  

Nissan's always changing their cars up, and tempting my imagination with so many concepts and ideas! I've always loved the Current 370z, especially the Nismo version, but imagine Nissan taking the Z car back to it's roots by dropping a turbo under the hood!

The next-generation Nissan Z-Car is coming and this new version could be a dramatic departure from the current Nissan 370Z, which dates back to 2009. Code-named Z35, the next-gen Nissan Z is rumored to be lighter, slimmer, and more like the original Datsun 280Z's image than ever before. Key to returning to its roots is a new engine for the Nissan 370Z-successor, which is rumored  to be either a turbo-4 or a traditional V-6.  Though the Nissan Z has been known for its six-cylinder powerplant, Nissan plans to begin weaning its customers off of the V-6 by offering a turbocharged I-4 alongside it, with the ultimate goal of the turbo-four replacing the V-6. The turbocharged powerplant would reportedly be a 2.5-liter I-4, making at least 330 hp and returning decent fuel economy. The Z35's V-6 would almost certainly be part of the VQ family of sixes. The current-generation Nissan 370Z's 3.7-liter V-6 makes 332 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque, while the 370Z Nismo gets 350 hp and 276 lb-ft of torque. A turbo-4-powered version of the next-gen Nismo Z will likely at least match the current 370Z Nismo's power output.

To Me this article makes total sense! When you factor in the News of the Nissan Idx concept going into production it makes sense that Nissan is headed back to it's roots in the design of Future products!
